Tundra

This diorama highlights the tundra biome and the interesting animals and plants that have adapted to live in its special climate. There are two types of tundra in the world (arctic and alpine) - this scene features the alpine tundra, which can be found at the top of the Rocky Mountains. Several animals who live there are featured: snowy owls, elk, snowshoe hares, and more!

“Alpine Tundra” would be a fun and eye catching display to place near your collection of nonfiction books about the tundra, Alaska, the Inuit tribes, the polar regions, or fiction books that are set in polar/tundra locations.
