Pioneers and Prairies

This diorama highlights the “Westward Expansion” period of American history (1803-1890), using little pioneer rabbits heading west with their wagon full of worldly goods (including their chickens - something actual pioneers would do!). Small sculptures of oxen and a buffalo are also included in the scene.

“Pioneers and Prairies” would be a wonderfully eye catching display to place near your collection of fiction and nonfiction books about this period of American history, as well as books and stories of cultures of indigenous tribes of Native Americans who were impacted by these events.

Other suggested books, educational videos, and learning activities available upon request.
